Revenue seizes 11kg of cocaine worth over €750,000 at Dublin Airport
Yesterday (27/06/16), Revenue officers seized over 11kg cocaine when, as a result of routine profiling, they stopped a 25 year old Irish man who arrived at Dublin Airport on a flight from Paris. A search of the passenger’s suitcase revealed four apparently empty rucksacks, each of which was found to have a concealment of cocaine sewn into the back panel. The value of the drugs is in excess of €750,000.
The passenger was arrested at the scene by an Garda Síochána and conveyed to Ballymun Garda Station. He appeared in court this morning charged with the sale, supply and importation of drugs and was remanded in custody for one week by Judge Michael Walsh.
