Revenue seizes herbal cannabis worth €6,000 in Galway

On Monday (16/05/16) in Galway, 300 grams of herbal cannabis were seized during a multi-agency operation targeting the supply of illegal drugs in the Galway area and involving Revenue, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Divisional Drugs Unit in Galway.

The drugs, which have an street value in the region of €6,000, had originated in North America and Canada.

Two Irish men aged 44 and 21, respectively, were arrested and detained at Millstreet Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. The men were later released and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
