Revenue seizes cigarettes and alcohol at Dublin Port

In an intelligence led operation this morning (10/06/16), officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized a total of 190 litres of alcohol and 2,400 'Marlboro' cigarettes at Dublin Port.

The alcohol and cigarettes were discovered when officers stopped and searched a Polish registered truck, being driven by a Polish national, that disembarked a ferry from Holyhead.

The seizure had a combined retail value of €2,800 and represented a potential loss to the Exchequer of almost €1,900
