Revenue officers seize drugs worth €200,000 in joint operation in Dublin
Today (07/10/16), as part of intelligence led joint operations targeting the illegal importation, sale and supply of drugs and involving Revenue’s Customs Service, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Drugs Units from Store Street and Blanchardstown, a number of houses were searched in the Ballybough and Mulhuddart areas of Dublin. A quantity of controlled drugs, including approx. 3.75kg of liquid Amphetamine and 2kg of Cocaine, was seized by Revenue. The value of the drugs is approximately €200,000. Two men, aged 51 and 43, were arrested by Gardaí in Blanchardstown and one man, aged 56, has been arrested by Gardaí in Store Street. All have been detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act (DT) 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
