Revenue seizes herbal cannabis worth €144,000 at Dublin Airport

On Sunday (02/10/16), Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized 7.2kg of herbal cannabis when, as a result of routine profiling, they stopped and searched a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Alicante. The drugs, which have an estimated value of €144,000, were discovered in the checked in baggage of the passenger.

A 31 year old Bulgarian man was arrested and appeared before Judge Brian Smyth in the Dublin District Court yesterday morning (04/10/16). He was remanded in custody to Cloverhill prison until Friday (07/10/16) when he will be brought before the court again.
