Revenue seizes 42kg of khat at Dublin Airport

On Monday (04/07/16), Revenue officers in Dublin Airport seized approximately 42kg of Khat. Following routine profiling, a 45 year old Dutch national who arrived into Dublin on a flight from Abu Dhabi was stopped and questioned. The drugs, which were found in the man's checked-in baggage, have a street value in excess of €21,000.

The man was arrested and appeared before Judge Hamill in the Dublin Circuit Court yesterday. He was remanded to Cloverhill until July 12th.
